The Center for Postcolonial and Gender Studies (CePoG) is organizing an interdisciplinary colloquium on July 2 and 3, 2021, aimed at all those who ask how to decolonize knowledge production, knowledge dissemination, and education: The aim is to describe problem areas of knowledge and scholarship in academic and school contexts and to find strategies and approaches to solve them. Projects and project ideas in the field of civil society engagement, community activism, existing initiatives as well as academic (master thesis, PhD- or PostDoc projects) and school projects are welcome. The colloquium is intended to provide space for exchange and networking and is a starting point and impulse for longer-term perspectives of our center, which is directed towards socio-political, scientific, institutional, didactic and science-political reflection processes of decolonization.
If you are interested in participating, we would like to ask you to send us an abstract (max. 1500 characters incl. spaces) and the title of your topic by April 19, 2021: to cepog@uni-trier.de). The workshop will be held digitally. Languages: German and English.
Das CePoG veranstaltet am 2. und 3. Juli 2021 ein interdisziplinäres Kolloquium, das sich an alle richtet, die fragen, wie man Wissensproduktion Wissensverbreitung und Bildung dekolonialisieren kann: Es geht darum, Problemfelder von Wissen und Wissenschaftlichkeit in akademischen und schulischen Kontexten zu beschreiben und Strategien und Lösungsansätze zu finden. Willkommen sind Projekte und Projektideen im Bereich des zivilgesellschaftlichen Engagements, des community activism, Vorstellungen bestehender Initiativen sowie wissenschaftlicher (Masterarbeit, Dissertations- oder Habilitationsvorhaben) und schulischer Projekte. Das Kolloquium soll Raum für inhaltlichen Austausch und Vernetzung bieten und ist Auftakt und Impuls für längerfristige Perspektive unseres Centrums, die sich auf gesellschaftspolitische, wissenschaftliche, institutionelle, didaktische und wissenschaftspolitische Reflexionsprozesse der Dekolonialisierung richtet.
Diejenigen, die sich gerne mit einem eigenen Beitrag beteiligen wollen, möchten wir bitten, uns bis 19.04.2021 ein Abstract (max. 1500 Zeichen inkl.
